Reduction of volume of organic waste from urban pruning and its use in composting

Facing the challenge faced by the municipality in collecting and disposing of organic waste, resulting from pruning collected in the surroundings of the municipality, the city hall decided to acquire a Lippel branch shredder, which will process this waste.

One of the major challenges was the transportation of pruning residues, as this is a very bulky material. Now, with the branch shredder, the urban cleaning team will be able to reduce the volume of this material by 70%, generating significant savings in trips for waste transportation, as well as saving working time; time that can be used to cover an even larger area of maintenance services throughout the city.

Another advantage of using the branch shredder by the municipality is the possibility of reusing waste through composting.

The organic composting process brings many benefits to both the environment and the population of the municipality.

Through composting, it is possible to make use of waste that is often just discarded. Also, thanks to this process, it is possible to produce a rich organic compost that can be used for soil fertilization, acting as a rich natural fertilizer, completely free of chemicals that can harm the environment.

Thanks to the intelligent management of organic waste produced by the city, it is possible to save time and resources for the city, which can be used more broadly for the benefit of the population.
