How to deal with tree falls caused by strong storms and gales in an environmental way

News15 de March de 2026

Due to the recent storms, a large number of trees were knocked down by strong gusts of wind on roads and urban streets, causing a major problem for traffic safety. However, another major issue caused by the falling trees is what to do with the huge amount of material collected from the roads. Not to mention the environmental impact already caused by the loss of green mass in the environment. Therefore, finding a solution that does not cause even more damage to the environment is simply vital.

Fortunately, all this green mass knocked down by hurricanes or cyclones can be fully reused to revitalize the environment from where they were removed. The way to reuse this material is through shredding and decomposing green waste through composting, but it can also be used immediately as ground cover without being decomposed. To carry out this work, the agency responsible for collecting and cleaning this green waste must have a truck for collecting the shredded material and a branch Crusher (if it does not have a collection truck, a branch Crusher equipped with its own tipping bucket can be acquired).

The material can be shredded directly at the collection site, thus greatly speeding up not only the work of accommodating the waste in the truck, but also the transportation, since the shredded material has a volume of only about 20% of the non-shredded material.

After shredding, the material undergoes controlled decomposition (composting) to produce a rich organic fertilizer that can be used to revitalize soil damaged by heavy rains, winds, or hurricanes. Soil enrichment will ensure that plants that have withstood the storms are strong enough to prevent further environmental damage and ensure a better quality of life for the local population.
