Entrepreneur realizes his dream and opens a briquette factory

News13 de November de 2025
The production of briquettes plays a fundamental role in job creation, through waste recycling, and also for sustainable development.
The Leneco briquette factory is located in the municipality of Capitão Leônidas Marques, in the northwest region of Paraná. The predominant activities in the region are soybean and corn cultivation, in addition to the furniture industry.
The briquette, also known as ecological firewood, is produced from the waste generated by the furniture industry and tree pruning in the city. It is an alternative fuel that is increasingly being used as an energy source.
The founder of Leneco, Luis Carlos Vieira, had previously worked in a furniture factory. It was when he decided that it was time to fulfill his dream of becoming an entrepreneur and opening his own business.
Luis explains that even when he worked in the furniture factory, there was a concern about giving the correct destination to wood waste, so he sought experience with other entrepreneurs in the furniture industry, where Luis could see the feasibility of opening a briquette factory.
Leneco's equipment for briquette production was acquired from Lippel, and its factory has been in operation for over 4 years using a useful area of 1000m².
Despite the continuous manufacturing process and even with six machines working together, the noise from the production is low.
Leneco is capable of producing approximately 22 tons of briquettes daily, equivalent to over 400 tons monthly.
The briquette has an open market, which contributes to the economic development of the region. A common and growing use for briquettes is as a replacement for firewood in pizzerias, bakeries, and other companies that use furnaces.
