Lippel's Engineering team recently visited the manufacturing plant and facilities of Stara, in the city of Não-Me-Toque (RS), in a technical visit marked by a genuine exchange of knowledge and know-how between the companies, with special focus on the development of customized projects.
Purpose of the visit
The initiative's main purpose was to promote this exchange of technical experiences, allowing Lippel's team to see up close how Stara develops custom-tailored solutions and projects, in addition to identifying best practices that could lead to process and project improvements within Lippel itself. During the visit, the professionals sought to understand how Stara structures its production flow, from the initial development of customized projects through to the final manufacturing stages.
What the team observed
Throughout the visit, the Engineering team followed several areas of Stara's production process, with particular attention to the know-how applied to the development of customized projects. Among the points observed were:
- Project and device development: how the company conceives and develops devices used within the plant itself.
- Plant assembly system: the logic and organization behind the assembly lines.
- Raw material and processed parts storage: how material is received, stored, and organized before and after processing.
- Parts cutting: the methods used for cutting and the ways cut parts are stored.
- Machining processes: the criteria and technical considerations adopted in the machining stages.
- Assembly levels and constructive design: the analysis of assembly structures and the constructive design of components.
- Prototype development: how Stara conducts the prototyping process, from conception through validation.
In addition to these activities, the team took part in several other dynamics throughout the visit, further reinforcing this exchange of knowledge and know-how in customized projects between the two companies.
Expected results
The expectation is that this exchange of experiences will serve as a foundation for internal improvements at Lippel, particularly regarding the development of customized projects, manufacturing processes, and operational efficiency — further strengthening the company's ongoing pursuit of innovation and production excellence.
