Equipment donated by Arauco will turn pruning waste into reusable material and speed up urban cleaning
The Municipality of Inocência received a PTU 300 wood chipper on Thursday (24th), donated by Arauco. The handover took place at the Municipal Workshop on Avenida Juraci Luiz de Castro and strengthens the city's cleaning and urban maintenance services.
The Donation Receipt Agreement was signed by Mayor Toninho da Cofapi, Deputy Mayor Henrique César and Municipal Environment Secretary Valdenir Mariano de Queiroz. With the signing, the equipment officially became municipal property.
Partnership under the PES
The donation is part of the PES. Through this program, Arauco fulfills a series of commitments made to Inocência, with actions and investments that support local development.
Meet the PTU 300 wood chipper
The PTU 300 is a wood chipper designed for urban work. It processes branches, pruning waste and other plant residues collected by municipal crews. Material that once took up a large volume in trucks is turned into wood chips or smaller fragments, making transport easier and reducing the storage space needed.
Less volume, more reuse
With the chipper, the municipality can collect green waste from urban vegetation more quickly. Each truck trip carries more material, cutting service time and fuel costs.
The chipped material can also be reused to produce compost and as mulch in flower beds, squares and plant nurseries, helping retain soil moisture and control weeds. Waste that used to be simply discarded now gets an environmentally sound destination.
Boosting urban services
The arrival of the PTU 300 expands the capacity of the crews responsible for cleaning and collecting green waste. The expected result is cleaner streets and public spaces and greater care for the environment in Inocência.
