Innovative Sustainability in the Textile Industry of Paraná: Lippel BL-65 Briquetting Machine

News13 de November de 2025

In the heart of Paraná, a yarn company is optimizing its production by integrating briquetting technology into the cotton cleaning process. With the installation of the Lippel BL-65 Briquetting Machine, impurities removed during this process are now transformed into briquettes that fuel the factory's own boiler. This innovation marks a significant milestone in sustainable industrial waste management and energy resource optimization.

The Innovative Process
The BL-65 Briquetting Machine is designed to produce briquettes with a diameter of Ø63 mm and a capacity of up to 400 kg/h. The system uses a piston connected eccentrically to a large flywheel that compacts material through a conical trunk. Pre-compaction is performed by an auger driven by a gearmotor, ensuring efficiency in transforming impurities into renewable fuel.

This technology allows organic waste to be densified and transformed into reliable energy sources, significantly reducing the original volume of discarded materials. Additionally, resulting briquettes have high calorific value and lower ash content compared to conventional firewood, making them more efficient for thermal energy generation.

Environmental and Economic Benefits
This innovation not only reduces operational costs by using internal waste as an energy source but also minimizes environmental impact by avoiding improper disposal of these impurities. Furthermore, it promotes more sustainable management of natural resources within the textile industry:

  • Reduction in Improper Disposal: Reusing impurities as renewable fuel.
Operational Economy: Reduces dependence on external energy supply.
  • Lower Pollutant Emissions: Briquettes generate fewer pollutants during combustion compared to traditional methods.
  • Sustainable Management: Contributes to environmentally responsible practices within the textile industry.
