Lippel receives International Renewable Energy Award in Europe

Lippel was nominated for the award by the organizing committee due to the development of the Integrated Biomass Drying System, provided to Klabin, which is the largest producer and exporter in the paper industry in Brazil.

The project includes the entire biomass drying line with a capacity for 85 tons of wood chips per hour, a furnace for the generation of 23,000,000 kcal/h gases, a waste treatment system, separation of stones and wood pieces, among other equipment that make up the solution.

This project, considered one of the main ones in 2014, will allow a significant increase in the thermal efficiency of steam and energy generation, as well as eliminate an environmental liability generated by the leftover biomass during the paper production process.

The trophy was presented by Mr. Javier Diaz, President of AVEBIOM (Spanish Association of Biomass Energy Valorization), to Mr. Guideon Lippel, Partner of the company Irmãos Lippel.

The EXPOBIOMASA 2014 Fair was held on October 22 in Valladolid, Spain, and brought together more than 500 brands from the Biomass sector worldwide. The event has become the main one on the sector's calendar worldwide.
