Lippel Strengthens Global Leadership with New Biomass Plant Construction in Europe

The global demand for clean, renewable energy sources is rising. Repurposing organic waste—such as cardboard, urban pruning, sugarcane bagasse, and rice husks—has turned environmental challenges into highly profitable bioenergy business models.

Full Bioenergy Solutions: From Chipping to Storage

Lippel, an international benchmark in bioenergy plant engineering, is currently constructing a major facility in Europe. For this project, Lippel provided the entire technological suite:

  • High-performance Forestry Chippers;

  • Smart dosing and handling systems;

  • Advanced biomass drying and storage solutions.

Processing Capacity: Briquettes and Pellets

The facility features a processing capacity of 4 tons per hour, strategically split into two production lines:

  1. Briquette Production (2 t/h): Organic waste compacted under high pressure and temperature to create high-calorific value fuel.

  2. Pellet Production (2 t/h): A demanding extrusion process producing premium pellets (ranging from 6 mm to 16 mm), the international standard for efficient heating and power generation.
