The city hall of Cascavel/PR, through the city's Department of Environment, has acquired a Lippel Branch Crusher PDU 200 HDR-M, with the aim of speeding up the correct disposal of branches resulting from tree pruning carried out by the Department.
The new equipment favors agility in the service and will increase the volume of shredded branches, which until then averaged two loads per day. This also prevents the excess branches, which the old crusher could not handle, from being taken to the municipal quarry.
According to the Secretary, "The Municipality is adding this new equipment to its assets, with the intention of directing the material for composting process to serve as fertilizer and prevent this material from having an improper destination".
Lippel manufactures Branch Crushers of various sizes, suitable for a variety of demands: from shredding bushes and small branches and leaves from residential or condominium pruning to shredding entire trees and large volumes of branches, trunks, thick branches, and heavy organic material, ideal for large city municipalities or third sector companies.
As a product of the shredding process, depending on the crusher, wood chips can be obtained for burning in furnaces or material for composting, allowing the material that was once an environmental liability to become a source of profit or sustainable savings.
