A sawmill located in Rio Grande do Sul, specializing in the production of sleepers for railway lines, has just optimized its production process with the acquisition of a Lippel PTL 250x500 Chipper and Shredder. The company, which already owned a chipper from another manufacturer, was looking for a more efficient equipment to shred wood scraps and discarded materials, transforming them into high-quality wood chips.

The choice for Lippel was made through the recommendation of another Lippel customer satisfied with the brand. The PTL 250x500 Drum Chipper stands out for its robustness and modern design, being ideal for industries that use wood in their production processes. The equipment is capable of producing wood chips with dimensions between 10 and 70 mm, adjustable according to the screen, number of knives and feed speed.

With the PTL 250x500, the Rio Grande do Sul sawmill can now sustainably use the generated biomass, transforming what was previously a disposal problem into an environmental and economic benefit. The equipment, powered by an electric motor, guarantees greater torque and lower environmental impact. In addition, the production of up to 10 tons per hour of wood chips demonstrates the high efficiency of the chipper, which exceeded the company's expectations and needs.

Lippel offers a variety of industrial wood chippers, designed to shred bulky and difficult-to-process materials, such as green biomass from urban centers, nurseries, forest beds and laminate scraps. The PTL Series chippers are robust equipment, with drums or rotors designed according to the customer's needs. The front articulation of the traction roller increases the capacity to receive bulky materials, and the traction roller improves the traction of the material into the chipper, reducing the volume to improve the cutting point.
